Regulatory Compliance Associate
Salary Range: $70-$85k Location: Lower East Side, NY Travel Required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The role of the Junior Compliance Associate is to ensure that all programs throughout the organization comply with State, program and agency requirements. They are responsible for responding to any outside inquiries of wrongdoing and representing the Organization in all cases.
- Assist in the creation of policies and procedures for compliance with programs within the organization. Implement training when needed.
- Fire code enforcement for all locations and programs.
- Full cycle incident reporting.
- Attend all regulatory and mandatory meetings, including Board meetings if necessary.
- Respond to parental and program inquiries or concerns. Identify and investigate any incidents of abuse or fraud and report such incidents to the appropriate programs.
- Gather all necessary documentation on behalf of the agency in preparation for hearings and other legal matters.
- Point person for audits. Including preparation, revisions and responses to necessary parties. Implement any necessary changes as a result of audits.
- Prepare and implement corrective action plans.
- Oversee and train Quality Assurance units.
- Prepare weekly reports on the Agency’s status for stakeholders and monthly reports to the State. Quarterly reviews of compliance manuals for each program within the organization.
- Data analysis and management.
- Coordinate Compliance Committee and facilitate quarterly compliance initiatives including follow-up action items.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Prior work experience as an High Level Executive Assistant, Compliance or similar role is a must. Experience in Social Services or Medical field will be given top priority.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Must be willing and able to travel to multiple sites, including Manhattan and Brooklyn.
- Discretion and confidentiality is vital component to this role.
- Bilingual is a plus(Spanish, Chinese, Yiddish).
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
